Title XII PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE Chapter 192 • Effective - 28 Aug 1985 192.007. Director, appointment — compensation — qualifications. — 1. The director of the department of health and senior services shall be appointed by the governor by and with the advice and consent of the senate. The director shall serve at the pleasure of the governor and the director's salary shall not exceed appropriations made for that purpose. 2. The director shall be a person of recognized character, integrity and executive ability, shall be a graduate of an institution of higher education approved by recognized accrediting agencies, and shall have had the administrative experience necessary to enable him to successfully perform the duties of his office.
