Title XIII CORRECTIONAL AND PENAL INSTITUTIONS Chapter 217 Effective - 14 Jul 2021, see footnote 217.199. Feminine hygiene products, available at no cost to female offenders. — 1. As used in this section, the following terms mean: (1) 'Appropriate quantity', an amount per day capable of satisfying the individual need of the offender if used for the feminine hygiene product's intended purpose; (2) 'Feminine hygiene products', tampons and sanitary napkins. 2. The director shall ensure that an appropriate quantity of feminine hygiene products are available at no cost to female offenders while confined in any correctional center of the department. The director shall ensure that the feminine hygiene products conform with applicable industry standards. 3.
