Title XIII CORRECTIONAL AND PENAL INSTITUTIONS Chapter 217 Effective - 28 Aug 1989, 2 histories 217.280. Firearms may be carried by designated employees — powers of arrest and apprehension. — 1. Under the rules and regulations of the department, designated employees may carry firearms when necessary for the proper discharge of their duties in this state or any state. 2.
