Title XIV ROADS AND WATERWAYS Chapter 231 • Effective - 28 Aug 1979 231.455. Payment of funds — use. — 1. Each fiscal year for two fiscal years, beginning with fiscal year 1979-80, the general assembly shall appropriate not more than eighteen million dollars for local road and bridge purposes as provided in sections 231.450 to 231.460. 2. The payment of the funds so appropriated shall be made by the commissioner of administration as soon as practicable after the beginning of each fiscal year. 3. The payment shall be made to the governing bodies of the various counties and cities, without any formal application therefor, shall be used solely for local road and bridge purposes, and no part of the moneys so paid shall be used upon any road or bridge which is wholly or partially maintained by the state transportation department. -------- (L. 1979 S.B. 109 § 2)
