Title XL ADDITIONAL EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS Chapter 643 • Effective - 28 Aug 2011 643.240. Friable material subject to regulation — air sample analysis, how conducted. — 1. Before commencement of an asbestos abatement project, persons shall make all reasonable efforts to minimize the spread of friable asbestos-containing materials to uncontaminated areas. 2. Any asbestos-containing material that will be rendered friable during the process of removal, encapsulation, enclosure or demolition is subject to all applicable federal and state regulations. 3. Analysis of asbestos air samples shall be conducted according to the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) standards in 29 CFR 1926.1101 or the United States Environmental Protection Agency standards in 40 CFR Part 763, Subpart E. ­­-------- (L. 1989 H.B. 77, et al., A.L. 2011 H.B. 89) CROSS REFERENCE: Nonseverability clause, 640.099
