Title XLI CODES AND STANDARDS Chapter 701 • Effective - 28 Aug 1976 701.010. Definitions. — As used in sections 701.010 to 701.020, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the following terms mean: (1) 'Hazardous locations', those structural elements, glazed or to be glazed: (a) In residential, industrial, commercial and public buildings, commonly known as interior and exterior framed or unframed glass entrance doors; and (b) Commonly known as sliding glass doors, including both fixed and sliding panels, storm doors, shower doors, and bathtub enclosures located in residential buildings and other structures used as dwellings, industrial buildings, commercial buildings, and public buildings; (2) 'Safety glazing material', any glazing material, including but not limited to tempered glass, laminated glass, wire glass or rigid plastic, and which is so constructed, treated or combined with other materials as to minimize the likelihood of cutting and piercing injuries resulting from human contact with the glazing material. ­­-------- (L. 1976 S.B. 559 § 1) Effective 1-01-77
