Severability clause. — Except as detailed in section 290.618, all of the provisions of sections 290.600 through 290.642 are severable, and if any provision, including any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, or clause, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unconstitutional, or unconstitutionally enacted, such decision shall not affect other provisions or applications of sections 290.600 through 290.642 that can be given effect without the invalid, unconstitutional, or unconstitutionally enacted provision or application, and to this end the provisions of sections 290.600 through 290.642 are declared severable. ­­-------- (L. 2024 Adopted by Initiative, Proposition A, November 5, 2024)
