Title XXIII CORPORATIONS, ASSOCIATIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS Chapter 351 • Effective - 29 May 1991, see footnote 351.048. Effective dates of filing of documents — delayed effective date. — 1. Except as provided in subsection 2 of this section and subsection 3 of section 351.049, a document accepted for filing is effective: (1) On the date it is filed, as evidenced by the secretary of state's date endorsement on the original document; or (2) At the date specified in the document as its effective date when it is filed. 2. A document may specify a delayed effective date, and if it does so the document becomes effective at the date specified.
