Archives of recorder's office of St. Louis, evidence. — Certified copies of the records of the ancient archives deposited in the office of the recorder of the county or city of St. Louis, consisting of deeds, mortgages, marriage contracts, settlements, adjudications and other instruments of writing relating to or affecting titles to real estate, and which were received from the French or Spanish authorities of Louisiana, and which have been or may hereafter be recorded, as directed by law, shall be received in evidence in all courts of this state. -------- (RSMo 1939 § 1849) Prior revisions: 1929 § 1685; 1919 § 5372; 1909 § 6317
