Penalty for violation of law — operating without a license, effect of payment of penalty fee. — Unless otherwise provided in this chapter, any person, firm or corporation, or any officer or agent of any person, firm or corporation, who violates any of the provisions of this chapter is, upon conviction, guilty of a class B misdemeanor. However, if a warehouseman has been charged, and has paid, a penalty fee for operating without a license as set forth in section 411.255, the warehouseman may not be charged with a misdemeanor for operating without a license for the time period covered by the penalty fee. -------- (L. 1965 p. 606, A.L. 1986 H.B. 1578) Effective 4-22-86
