Title XXVI TRADE AND COMMERCE Chapter 416 • Effective - 28 Aug 1959 416.475. Bond of complainant, liability. — 1. Upon the filing of the complaint with the director, the director shall require of the complainant, a bond in the sum of one thousand dollars to defray the expenses of the necessary investigation incident to the complaint. 2. In the event the investigation discloses a violation of sections 416.410 to 416.560, and a court action is necessary to secure relief, the surety is released from his liability under the bond, and in an injunction suit brought by the attorney general or the prosecuting attorney as provided in section 416.450, the cost of the investigation is a part of the cost against the defendant in the suit, if he is found to have violated the provisions of sections 416.410 to 416.560. 3. In the event the complaint is found not to involve actionable violation, the complainant is required to defray the necessary expenses of the investigation, but not to exceed the sum of one thousand dollars. -------- (L. 1959 H.B. 255 § 14)
