Title XXVI TRADE AND COMMERCE Chapter 416 • Effective - 28 Aug 2014 416.650. Definitions — For purposes of sections 416.650 to 416.658, the following terms shall mean: (1) 'Demand letter', a letter, email, or other communication asserting or claiming that a target has engaged in patent infringement, but shall not include a petition filed in a court of appropriate jurisdiction; (2) 'Target', an end user who purchases, rents, leases, or otherwise obtains a product or service in the commercial market that is not for resale and that is, or later becomes, the subject of a patent infringement allegation. ­­-------- (L. 2014 S.B. 706)
