Title XXXII COURTS Chapter 476 • Effective - 28 Aug 1939 476.060. Interpreters appointed, when. — The courts may, from time to time, appoint interpreters and translators to interpret the testimony of witnesses, and to translate any writing necessary to be translated in such court, or any cause therein. ­­-------- (RSMo 1939 § 2010) Prior revisions: 1929 § 1846; 1919 § 2343; 1909 § 3865 (1972) Appointment of interpreters rests within the discretion of the trial court but where the interpreter was plaintiff's brother and court did not determine if he could translate plaintiff's testimony or if he was unduly biased or prejudiced there was an abuse of discretion.
