Title XXXII COURTS Chapter 486 • Effective - 28 Aug 2020 486.815. Suspension of notary commission. — 1. The secretary may immediately suspend a notary commission upon written notice sent by certified mail if the situation is deemed to have a serious unlawful effect on the general public, provided that the notary shall be entitled to hearing and adjudication as soon thereafter as is practicable. 2. The secretary shall promulgate rules providing for hearings and appeals on suspension of a notary commission, subject to the limitations in section 486.830. 3. This section shall also apply to electronic notaries performing electronic notarial acts and remote online notaries performing remote online notarial acts. ­­-------- (L. 2020 H.B. 1655)
