Title XXXII COURTS Chapter 488 • Effective - 28 Aug 1996 488.010. Definitions. — As used in sections 488.010 to 488.020* and section 488.005**, the following words and phrases shall mean: (1) 'Court costs', the total of fees, miscellaneous charges and surcharges, imposed in a particular case; (2) 'Fees', the amount charged for services to be performed by the court; (3) 'Miscellaneous charges', the amounts allowed by law for services provided by individuals or entities other than the court; (4) 'Surcharges', additional charges allowed by law which are allowed for specific purposes designated by law. -------- (L. 1996 S.B. 869 § 514.015 subsec. 1) *Words 'section 514.015' appear in original rolls, which was changed to effectuate the court cost bill. **Words 'section 514.005' appear in original rolls, which was changed to effectuate the court cost bill.
