County or municipally owned property exempt, when. — All courthouses, jails, clerks' offices and other buildings owned by any county or municipality, and the lots on which they stand, and all burial grounds, shall be exempt from attachment and execution. ­­-------- (RSMo 1939 § 1325) Prior revisions: 1929 § 1161; 1919 § 1612; 1909 § 2181 (1972) A mechanic's lien does not attach to buildings and property owned by a municipality and used for the benefit of the public.
