Title XXXV CIVIL PROCEDURE AND LIMITATIONS Chapter 513 • Effective - 17 Mar 1986, see footnote 513.630. Statute of limitations. — Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a proceeding under this act* may be commenced up until five years after the conduct terminates or the cause of action accrues. If a criminal prosecution or civil action is brought by the state relating to conduct which would constitute criminal activity as defined in section 513.605, then the running of the period of limitations shall be suspended during the pendency of such prosecution or action by the state and for five years thereafter. -------- (L. 1986 S.B. 450 § 13) Effective 3-17-86 *'This act' (S.B. 450, 1986) contained numerous sections.
