Sheriff to act as receiver, when — his rights, duties and liabilities. — Until a receiver is appointed, the attaching officer shall have all the powers and perform all the duties of a receiver under sections 521.010 to 521.650, and may commence and maintain actions in his own name, as such officer, on debts or evidences of debt attached.
