Duty to carry permit — display of permit, when — citation for violation. — Any person issued a Missouri lifetime or extended concealed carry permit under sections 571.205 to 571.230, shall carry the permit at all times the person is carrying a concealed firearm and shall display the permit and a state or federal government-issued photo identification upon the request of any peace officer. Failure to comply with this section shall not be a criminal offense but the Missouri lifetime or extended concealed carry permit holder may be issued a citation for an amount not to exceed thirty-five dollars. -------- (L. 2016 S.B. 656) *Effective 10-14-16, see § 21.250.
