§ 10-2-806

10-2-806. Joint resolution -- award provided. (1) During a regular legislative session, the department shall notify the president of the senate of the eligible service members for which a first medallion has been requested. (2) The president of the senate shall request and introduce a joint resolution naming each eligible service member for which a first medallion has been requested. The resolution is exempt from any bill request limits established by legislative rule. (3) If the joint resolution passes the legislature, the department shall send a copy of the signed joint resolution naming the eligible service member to the family member who has applied for and has been determined to be eligible to receive the medallion honoring and remembering that service member.
