2-15-1771. Board of athletic trainers. (1) In accordance with 37-1-123, there is a board of athletic trainers. (2) The board consists of five members: (a) one physician, preferably with a background in the practice of sports medicine; (b) three athletic trainers: (i) one athletic trainer with experience in one or more postsecondary educational institutions; (ii) one athletic trainer with experience in one or more secondary schools; and (iii) one athletic trainer with experience in one or more health care or athletic facilities; and (c) one public member. (3) The board is allocated to the department as prescribed in 2-15-121. (4) Members must be compensated as provided in 2-18-501 through 2-18-503. History: En. Sec. 1, Ch. 388, L. 2007; amd.
