2-16-204. Gubernatorial commissions. (1) The governor shall commission: (a) all officers elected by the people whose commissions are not otherwise provided for; (b) all officers of the militia; (c) all agency heads appointed by the governor with consent of the senate; (d) United States senators. (2) The commissions of all officers commissioned by the governor must be issued in the name of the state and must be signed by the governor and attested by the secretary of state under the great seal.
