20-25-806. Appointment of commissioners to the western interstate commission for higher education. (1) In making the appointments of commissioners provided for in 20-25-801, the governor shall appoint three members as follows: (a) one member who is an educator engaged in the field of higher education in Montana; (b) one member who is engaged in a professional occupation; and (c) one member who is a legislator. (2) The term of each commissioner is 4 years as provided in the compact. The legislator appointed shall serve until the expiration of the term of appointment, even though the legislative term may have ended. History: En. Sec. 1, Ch. 130, L. 1979; amd.
