A person who purposely or knowingly assists a current or former school employee, contractor, or agent in obtaining employment in violation of 20-7-1321 is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $1,000 or be imprisoned in the county jail for a term not to exceed 1 year, or both.
