§ 25-8-103

25-8-103. With whom money deposited. (1) Whenever money is paid into or deposited in court, the money must be delivered to the clerk in person or to the clerk's deputies who are specially authorized by the deputy's appointment in writing to receive the money. The clerk or deputy shall, unless otherwise directed by law, deposit the money with the county treasurer to be held by the treasurer subject to the order of the court. (2) The appointment must be filed with the county treasurer, who shall exhibit it and give to each person asking for the appointment a certified copy of the appointment. The appointment is in force until a revocation in writing is filed with the county treasurer, who shall upon receipt write 'revoked' in ink across the face of the appointment. History: En.
