§ 3-10-602

3-10-602. Penalty. A justice of the peace violating 3-10-601 is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months in the county jail, or both. The violator is also guilty of malfeasance in office and, in the discretion of the court, may be removed from office.
