3-2-502. Duties of marshal. (1) It is the duty of the marshal to be present and to assist the supreme court and the justices of the supreme court at each term of court. The marshal is the executive officer of the court and shall act as crier of the court. (2) The marshal shall serve within the state all returns and processes issuing from the supreme court and has all the powers and shall exercise all the duties that sheriffs have to the district courts to the extent that the duties are applicable.
