§ 30-13-141

30-13-141. Definitions. As used in 30-13-141 through 30-13-147, the following definitions apply: (1) 'Owner' means the person who owns the original fixation of sounds embodied in a master phonograph record, master disc, master tape, master film, or other device used for reproducing sounds on phonograph records, discs, tapes, films, or other articles upon which sound is recorded and from which the transferred recorded sounds are directly derived. (2) 'Performer' means the person or persons appearing in a performance. (3) 'Person' means any individual, firm, partnership, limited liability company, corporation, or association.
