30-13-209. Amendment. An amendment to registration of an assumed business name must be filed with the secretary of state within 1 year after any one of the following events occurs: (1) there is a change in the name or identity of the person or persons transacting or having interest in the business for which the name is registered; (2) there is a change in the description of the business transacted; (3) a person having an interest in the business with a registered assumed business name withdraws from the business or dies; or (4) the registrant wishes to change the name of a registered assumed business name.
