An assignment of wages or salary by any employee or wage earner to any wage broker for the employee's or wage earner's benefit is not valid or enforceable, and an employer or debtor may not recognize or honor the assignment for any purpose whatever unless the assignment is for a fixed and definite part or all of the wages or salary earned.
