33-1-301. Insurance department -- control -- appropriations. (1) The insurance department shall be under the control and supervision of the commissioner. (2) Funds adequate for the maintenance and operation of the insurance department shall be expressly appropriated by the legislature and shall be used solely for the purposes for which so appropriated.
