§ 33-30-302

33-30-302. Allowed contracts. (1) A corporation subject to the provisions of this chapter may enter into contracts for the rendering of health services on behalf of its members or beneficiaries with: (a) hospitals maintained by a governmental body or agency; (b) hospitals maintained by a nonprofit corporation organized for hospital purposes; or (c) other corporations, organizations, associations, partnerships, or individuals furnishing health services. (2) A health service corporation may enter into agreements or contracts with other organizations or corporations licensed to do business in this state or in any other state for: (a) the transfer of members or beneficiaries; (b) the reciprocal joint provisions of benefits to the members or beneficiaries of the corporation and of those other organizations or corporations; or (c) other joint undertakings the corporation's board of directors approves.
