35-2-126. Designation of status of nonprofit corporations. (1) A domestic corporation must be designated as either a public benefit, mutual benefit, or religious corporation. The specific designation of a corporation is as follows: (a) A corporation designated by its articles of incorporation as a public benefit corporation, a mutual benefit corporation, or a religious corporation is the type of corporation designated by its articles of incorporation.
