35-21-831. Termination of right of interment -- limitation on right. (1) A vested right of interment is terminated upon interment elsewhere of the person with the vested right. (2) A vested right of interment does not give to any person the right to have the person's remains interred in any interment space in which the remains of any deceased person having a prior vested right of interment have been interred or the right to have the remains of more than one deceased person interred in a single interment space in violation of the rules of the mausoleum-columbarium authority controlling the operation of the mausoleum or columbarium in which the interment space is located.
