§ 35-21-840

35-21-840. Records. (1) A record must be kept of the ownership of all plots in the mausoleum and columbarium that have been conveyed by the mausoleum-columbarium authority and of all transfers of plots. The transfer of any plot or any right of interment is not complete or effective until recorded on the books of the mausoleum-columbarium authority. (2) The mausoleum-columbarium authority in charge of any mausoleum or columbarium in which interments are made shall keep a record of all remains, including cremated remains, interred on the premises under its charge, in each case stating the name of each deceased person, date of interment, and name and address of the funeral director. (3) The records required under this section must be open to inspection during the customary office hours of the mausoleum-columbarium authority. History: En. Sec. 20, Ch. 283, L. 1999.
