§ 37-11-320

37-11-320. Duty to report violations -- immunity from liability. (1) Notwithstanding any provision of state law regarding the confidentiality of health care information, a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant shall report to the board any information that appears to show that another physical therapist or physical therapist assistant is: (a) mentally or physically unable to engage safely in the practice of physical therapy or practice as an assistant; or (b) guilty of any act, omission, or condition that is grounds for disciplinary action under 37-11-321. (2) There is no liability on the part of and no cause of action may arise against a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant who in good faith provides information to the board as required by subsection (1).
