The board may reprimand a licensee or revoke, suspend, or restrict or limit the license of a licensee found responsible for: (1) gross negligence, incompetency, or misconduct in the practice of professional engineering or professional land surveying; (2) a violation of rules for professional conduct for professional engineers and professional land surveyors adopted by the board; or (3) failing to comply with state laws and rules pertaining to the practice of professional engineering or professional land surveying.
