40-5-262. Rules. The department shall adopt rules to implement this section, including rules: (1) providing for advance notice to the obligor of support debt information requested under 40-5-261; (2) establishing the procedure for contesting the accuracy of information proposed for release to consumer reporting agencies; (3) providing for consideration of the obligor's payment record, the availability of other remedies, and other matters relevant to determining whether the release of information would promote the collection of a support debt or would be inappropriate under the circumstances; and (4) governing the format and frequency of reports to consumer reporting agencies.
