42-2-103. Interstate placement. The Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, Title 41, chapter 4, governs: (1) an adoption in this state of a child brought into this state from another state by a prospective adoptive parent; (2) a person residing in or an agency doing business from another state who places the child for adoption in this state; and (3) the placement of a Montana child in another state.
