42-5-105. Hearing on petition for adoption. (1) The petitioners and the child shall appear at the hearing unless the presence of the child is waived by the court. (2) The court shall examine the petition, the documents accompanying the petition, and the petitioners and shall receive evidence in support of the petition. History: En. Sec. 130, Ch. 480, L. 1997.
