50-6-301. Findings. The legislature finds and declares that: (1) the public welfare requires the establishment of minimum uniform standards for the operation of emergency medical services; (2) the control, inspection, and regulation of persons providing emergency medical services or community-integrated health care is necessary to prevent or eliminate improper care that may endanger the health of the public; and (3) the regulation of emergency medical services is in the interest of the social well-being and the health and safety of the state and all its people.
