Any person, partnership, company, firm, association, or corporation, other than a power supplier, that energizes an electrical installation under this part for which an electrical permit has not been issued by the department of labor and industry or a county, city, or town certified to enforce the electrical code pursuant to 50-60-302 is guilty of a misdemeanor.
