53-21-114. Notice of rights to be given. (1) Whenever a person is involuntarily detained pursuant to 53-21-121 through 53-21-126, the person must at the time of detention be informed of the person's constitutional rights and the person's rights under this part. Within 3 days of detention, the person must also be informed in writing by the county attorney of the enumerated rights. (2) A respondent who is subject to an order for short-term treatment or long-term care and treatment must be advised in writing of the right to appeal the order by the court at the conclusion of any hearing as a result of which an order may be entered.
