53-21-134. Receipt of nonresident person suffering from a mental disorder pending return to home state. A person who is suffering from a mental disorder and in need of commitment and who is not a resident of this state may be committed to the state hospital pursuant to this part. The state hospital shall make every effort to return the nonresident to the state of the person's residence as provided in chapter 22, part 1, of this title. History: En.
