§ 61-8-345

61-8-345. Stop before emerging from alley, driveway, private road, or building. The operator of a vehicle within a business or residence district who is emerging from an alley, driveway, private road, or building shall stop the vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or onto the sidewalk area extending across an alley, driveway, or private road and shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians.
