7-14-1613. County rail authority. (1) The board, upon completion of the public hearing, may pass a resolution creating an authority. (2) At the same time, the board shall appoint five persons as directors of the authority. A director shall hold office for 2 years and until a successor is appointed. Three of the directors first appointed shall hold office for 1 year. A vacancy occurring other than by expiration of a term must be filled for the unexpired term by the board. (3) A director must reside within the boundaries of the authority. History: En. Sec. 5, Ch. 333, L. 1993.
