7-14-2621. Establishment and alteration of stock lanes. (1) A stock lane is a county road established and maintained for the driving and travel of livestock. A stock lane may not be less than 60 feet wide. The width must be determined by the board in the order creating it. (2) Upon presentation of a proper petition, a board may establish, alter, or vacate stock lanes when it considers it expedient and necessary for the convenience of the public and for the convenience of travel on established roads. A stock lane may adjoin and parallel a county road and must be described in the petition for creation and in the order of the board creating the stock lane. (3) The provisions of this part and the general laws relating to establishing, altering, and vacating county roads, including the exercise of the right of eminent domain as provided in Title 70, chapter 30, apply to stock lanes.
