7-4-2517. Itemized receipt for fees. Every officer, upon receiving any fees for official duty or service, may be required by the person paying the fee to make and deliver to the person a written account of the fees, specifying for what they accrued, respectively, and shall issue a receipt for the fee. If the officer refuses or neglects to issue an account and a receipt when required, the officer is liable to the party paying the fee in treble the amount paid. History: En. Sec. 4614, Pol.
