§ 70-31-101

It is the purpose of this chapter to: (1) provide for uniform and equitable treatment of persons displaced from their homes, businesses, or farms as a result of federally assisted programs; (2) establish uniform and equitable land acquisition policies for federally assisted programs; and (3) comply with the federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended.
