85-2-803. Legislative review. (1) A diversion of water from the basin pursuant to Article X of the compact consented to by the department under the provisions of this part may not be made until one of the following occurs, whichever is later: (a) the legislature ratifies the first determination of the department to consent to a diversion of water from the basin pursuant to Article X of the compact; or (b) July 1, 1983. (2) A decision by the department to disapprove a diversion of water is not subject to legislative approval. History: En. Sec. 3, Ch. 581, L. 1981.
